About Pianoverse Studio

Welcome to Pianoverse Studio, where we craft treasures for the piano lover. Our jewelry and art resonate with those who find solace, inspiration, and joy in the timeless instrument. But our creations are also celebrations of connection, creativity, and hidden beauty in a chaotic world.
We design pieces that invite you to take a closer look at the details and appreciate the little things in life. Whether it’s jewelry or a piece of art for your space, each design is a tribute to the intricate details that make life extraordinary—whether in music, in people, or in yourself.
Please note that Pianoverse Studio has transitioned into a private artist studio. You can enjoy our collections from the comfort of your own home as we've shifted exclusively to online viewing and don't accommodate walk-in visits.
ABOUT THE FAMILY
Before we became Pianoverse Studio, many may remember us as “PianoVerse, a place to play, learn, and love piano.” Since 2010, PianoVerse has been a sanctuary for musical exploration, private piano lessons, and free piano recitals for our community in Jackson Heights.
But then, in February 2020, our world in New York shifted. The pandemic swept across the globe, forcing us into lockdown and shattering our familiar rhythm. Uncertainty hung heavy in the air, touching the lives of many, including our own.
Yet, amidst that uncertainty, our family's legacy gave us strength because our story has been woven with the threads of art, music, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship.

1970s
Our family’s story began with our maternal grandparents, who brought their piano studio from Hong Kong to Jackson Heights, Queens in the 1970s. Our grandfather, Kwok Nam Law, crafted pianos and other instruments with dedicated passion. Alongside him, our grandmother, Un Oi Law, embodied an entrepreneurial spirit that relentlessly charged through any adversity and hardship.
1980s & 1990s
In the 1980s, our uncle Horatio Law continued to evolve that legacy, exploring new avenues to engage with the Jackson Heights community through piano and art. And when the tide of change swept through again, our mother, Michelle Ng, embraced her entrepreneurial spirit, transforming the piano studio into a company offering mortgage services in the 1990s.
2000s & 2010s
Yet, as fate would have it, change was on the horizon again. In 2009, our grandmother's illness cast a shadow over our family. In her honor, our mother made a promise to carry on the legacy of piano, artistry, and entrepreneurship. And so, in 2010, we, her daughters—Cynthia, Melissa, Fiona—answered the call, creating PianoVerse as a testament to our family's enduring spirit and our shared love for inspiring others through art and music.
2020s
But as 2020 dawned, a new chapter beckoned. We closed our doors during the pandemic lockdowns, pausing to reflect on our journey and the path ahead. It was time to evolve and to merge our individual artistic practices with our family's rich heritage. Inspired by our family’s history in our formative years, we brought up our own artistic visions and values in the hopes of continuing to weave new stories into the family’s story.
Thus, Pianoverse Studio emerged—where treasures for the piano lover are crafted. Though our name and services may have changed, our essence remains the same. We welcome you in this journey filled with love for piano, music, art, and creativity.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Melissa Ng, one of the designers at Pianoverse Studio, traces her passion for design back to her childhood spent mesmerized by the piano. From eagerly watching her mother play to hungrily exploring any sheet music she could get her hands on, Melissa's fascination extended beyond melodies to the piano's intricate construction. This early curiosity ignited a lifelong pursuit of understanding functionality and reimagining beauty in design. Through her company, Lumecluster, Melissa creates sculptures, wearable art, and jewelry that stir imaginations and kindle dreams. Her work has been featured on sites like The Guardian, Tested with Adam Savage, Forbes, and Insider. Her creations even come to life in virtual reality on Oculus VR.
Fiona Ng, the other creative force behind Pianoverse Studio, channels her lifelong love for art and music into enchanting creations. From her early days captivated by the piano's inner workings to crafting lovable creatures, Fiona's art shows a dedication to storytelling and inspiring joy. As the designer behind Fiona Ng Designs, she sculpts art toys and sculptures brimming with character and life.
